House Guest

So as of yesterday we have a new house guest that my girls are so excited about having here. He is a little more hair than most our house guests and he goes to the bathroom outside (old fashioned like :) ). Welcome to our house Buddy! I know Mattison and Kylee are hoping this is a permanent situation but I know you are hoping the opposite. Buddy has only been here since yesterday evening and he is already exhausted.
Wait!!! You are NOT Buddy!!!

Here is our real house guest! :)

More than 1 reason for a closet!!!

So the other day Billy and I were trying to get some stuff put away and so Mattie and Kylee went into Kylee's room to play. I thought how nice it is that the girls are playing so good together in the other room so Billy and I can get our project done faster. Then it got a little to quiet for my taste. I have learned to much silence when kids are playing equals TROUBLE! So I go into Kylee's room to find this...... So here is a great video of Mattie doing the robot. It is so cute to watch!

I hate listening to me talking but the video is cute. :)

This is Kylee's new love....sunglasses!! She'll be already for the beach. hee, hee

Missing my mom!!

So my mom and dad left to go to San Diego with my older sister Tara and her husband Aaron and their 4 adorable kids. My dad is staying for a week and my mom and Tara's family are staying for 1 MONTH!!! That is right i said 1 MONTH! I am a really close to my mom so to have her gone that long is not a fun idea. So far they have only been gone 2 days and I am already missing my family terribly. I do have to say though I actually haven't seen any of my family since last Wednesday because I was so sick and I didn't want to get any of them sick especially before going on vacation. So I am looking forward to staying in touch with my mom and my sister through blogging and phone calls! Thank you technology!!! :) I am looking forward to meeting up with them in 2 weeks. My girls keep asking to go to Nana's house and I tell them she is not home and they look confused like "What she always needs to be there?". So Kylee finally decided she would call her Nana so she brought me the home phone and said "Nana". So I called Nana so she could talk to her mini me (aka Kylee). For anyone who does not know, Kylee is my mom's sidekick. She will go anywhere Nana is. So I think Kylee and I will have the hardest time having my mom gone! So here are some pictures of the girls to keep you happy for a couple days mom. P.S. Yes the bath water is suppose to be pink it was dissolve ball my dad gave the girls as a gift. Needless to say they LOVED the pink water with little floating hearts in it! :)

New "adventures"!

Mattie last week went with my parents for 4 days up north to Mormon Lake. They had a family ride with the Mounted Sheriff's Posse that my dad and brother-in-law belong to. Mattie and all of Tara's kids competed in different events. This was Mattie's first year of competing and she did great. She got 4th place, 5th place and 4 of the purple participation ribbons (a.k.a. special ribbons). Nana and Papa said Mattie did not stop the whole time they were there. Thanks again for taking her with you for such a fun trip. Mommy missed you soooooooooo much Mattison!! Also Kylee our 18month old is as my dad would say "a kick in the pants". She is very entertaining and exhausting. She learned how to get herself out of her crib and she is way proud of herself for it! The first night she discovered she could do it it took us about 45 minutes to get her to bed because we had to keep putting her back in her crib. The girl never stops!! Good thing she is adorable and I love her to pieces! The above picture shows you what a monkey both my girls are....this is what Billy came out to the other day after he took a shower both the girls just sitting on the table hanging out! MONKEYS!!

Music heals my soul!!

My sister Erin sent me a video from youtube of 2 men playing a customized arrangement of the Taylor Swift song "Love Story". The video is 8 minutes and 4 seconds long but is so amazing that you don't even realize the time. As many of you read in my last post I struggle with depression but I have to say music really touches my heart and I feel that when Erin sent me that video it was Heavenly Father touching her heart to tell her to send it to me. As I sat and watched it multiple times I felt the love of my Heavenly Father and of my love for the gift of song. To watch these amazingly talented men share their talent that God blessed them with makes a part my heart heal! Thank you Erin for following your heart probably when you didn't even realize you were because today Heavenly Father sent me a message of love and hope and healing. I have put the video below and I would encourage everyone to take a few minutes from your day to feel inspired! Music heals the human soul!!

Learning to live through struggles

A few months ago I attended a stake Relief Society meeting that had multiple speakers in attendance. I felt like there were so many times that the speaker was talking just to me (when in reality there were probably a lot of women in the room thinking the same thing). Thanks to the Spirit that is the case, the Spirit of our Heavenly Father can speak to us individually even in a crowded room. There was one speaker in particular who I really felt was speaking to me. She was reading from her journal and honestly she could have been reading directly from my journal and read pretty much the same thing. That day I learned that I am not the only one who struggles with something that makes me very sad. What is even more crazy about this is that it has been people I never would have thought had this struggle. I don't even like saying the word but I know it is real...depression. These past few days I have really had a hard time and felt like I would just do better to stay in bed and not come in contact with anyone. That way I could save them the pain of seeing me act or feel in a way that I didn't want to feel. Some people would say that it is all in your head or to just buck up but it is unfortunately NOT that easy. I wish it was!! I have not wanted to go out of my house but I have tried to do everything I can to get out EVERYDAY! For some that would not seem like a big task but sadly it is a big task when I feel the way I do. It probably doesn't help that I have hormones raging being pregnant but I struggle with this even when I'm not pregnant. Anyways I am not posting this for any to say "Oh poor Brianne" or to get sympathy or anything like that. I just felt like I needed to put some of MY feelings and thoughts out in writing for me and my loved ones to look back on. Some of you may think why would anyone want to read something sad like this. I know that when that sweet sister shared her journal with 100's of other women that I was 1 of many I'm sure who was affected and blessed by her sharing her struggle. I know I am NOT alone even though at times like this I feel alone. I am so blessed to have an understanding husband who listens to me cry about the weirdest things, who just holds me when I need it or who let's me be alone when I need it. I am thankful to my Heavenly Father for many blessings he has given me and continues to give. I know that without the help of him and my Savior I wouldn't be where I am today...sitting here sharing such a struggle with all who read this. If you are reading this and struggle with similar things please know you are not alone and with the help of the Savior anything is possible. Even if it is just getting into the shower for the day! :)
