Birthday Hints for Dad!!

Dad, I am here to put some ideas in your head for some AWESOME birthday presents for your Cher Bear! First let's start with a nice Carribean Princess Cruise. I have added a photo to really help you vision it all. With the cruise you will need a very nice luxury room with balcony view. Here is a picture of one very nice room (and yes it has a balcony with lovely views of coarse). Also mom will need some relaxing time for herself so here is another gentle hint...MASSAGE!!! P.S. Dad you may be wondering why I am posting so early when her birthday is in January but trust me planning early is the way to go! Happy Birthday Little Man! Aunt Bre and Uncle Billy and Mattie and Kylee miss you and wanted to wish you the HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY EVER!! We want you to know that we love you SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH! Aunt Bre misses snuggling you and teaching you more sign language. We hope you got lots of awesome birthday gifts. I know how much you LOVE trains so I am putting the picture of the train on here for you. Wish we could be there to give you HUGE birthday hugs. We love you little man. Mr Handsome!

This my really good friend Jen's baby Patton. I call him Bubba! Does Bubba suit him? He is so cute and smiley to me. He loves to laugh at the kids and just watch everything. He also loves to wrestle with his daddy. Last night I was on the phone with Jen and her husband was tickling Bubba and he was laughing so hard. It was so funny. I love his little laugh. I can't wait to have my own little guy. Also I have included what I am doing with the rest of the kids while Jen and Patton are snuggling. This is my two girls and Jen's to girls taking a quick bath. There was barely any room for the small toys :). It was a fun night with Jen and her kids. We used to do it all the time but life has been crazy. Hopefully we can do it more in the future.

You're Better than YOU know!

Last night I attended the General Relief Society broadcast. It was so uplifting and I feel like the talks were said just for me. I think it is so amazing how the spirit works. As I sat in my seat last night thinking how this is for me, I realized I am sitting in a room full of women who are probably thinking the same thing. The Spirit is what allows us to feel that personal touch of a message from our loving and eternal Heavenly Father. President Dieter F. Uchtdorf spoke such amazing things to all of the sisters. He stated quite a few things that I hope I never forget. One of those things was that if we have God on our side helping us we will not and can not fail. Also we need to not let fear over take us. We need to realize that we are GREAT. As women we critique ourselves to a fault almost. We need to be happy with who we are and what we CAN do. We still need to learn and grow through our mistakes but know that we are GOOD. We need to see ourselves as our Father in Heaven sees us and as our selfless Savior sees us. President Scott Smith of the Stake Presidency spoke briefly after and told us to know that we are GOOD and we can be a great strength to one another. I am so grateful to my dad for watching my girls so I could attend. Thanks dad!

They can be taught!

I love this priceless picture. I love to tell the story of one of the weeks my mom went to education week. As a lot of you know I am the second oldest of 4 GIRLS! This can be a challenge for any daddy (in more than 1 area hee, hee). Anyways, one week my mom had gone to education week and dad was left to fend for himself and for 4 girls. When I mean fend for himself I am sure mom pre-made all the meals and had them in the fridge marked with what to do to serve to her little girls. :) He did great! One of the things mom couldn't pre-make for him though was getting all of us girls ready for school and having our hair done. My dad isn't a quitter though he forged on by combing our hair nice and smooth as possible. Then to make sure his great work stayed in place he... hair sprayed it! ha, ha He was so proud and so were we. So when Billy and I found out we were having a girl for the first time I thought of this precious moment with my dad coming my hair and told Billy the great story of the hair spraying incident. He laughed and said he wanted to be a dad who could at least put up a nice ponytail. So here he is coming Mattie's hair after we gave her a bath and then he puts it up. I have to tell you he does a pretty mean ponytail. On Tuesday's Mattie has preschool and I have to work at my dad's office so Billy is the one responsible for getting Mattie all ready, including her hair and he does a MARVELOUS job. Mattie's preschool teacher even commented on how impressed she was that my husband does her hair for school. Way to go babe, you are ready for your next lesson... the CURLING IRON, dundudu! (That is suppose to be the music for when something scary could be ahead hee, hee). Love you Billy thanks for being such a great daddy to our girls!

Is It done yet???

I had been trying to be domestic the other day and made a special treat for the family. I made a pumpkin cobbler and as you can tell the girls were very excited. I just that this was such a precious moment that I wanted to capture it forever. They would look in the little window then look at each other and smile. I was so adorable. Kylee is standing up by herself more and more. In fact when she stands up a lot of the time she starts to clap too and smiling like "hey look at me, isn't this cute?". :) I am sure she claps because that is usually what we do when she stands by herself to show her how excited we are. I can't believe how fast my girls are growing up. Mattie is loving preschool more that ever. Her teacher tells me she is doing really great. Yesterday Mattie was selected to do show and tell. Ms. Marcy asked that she bring something that starts with her name. When I asked Mattie what she wanted to bring she said, "My Nana & Papa!". How do you say no to such excitement. So I called Ms. Marcy and ok'd that with her. She said it would absolutely be ok. So my parents came to preschool to be show and tell. It was so cute. All kids seemed very excited to have them there. They talked about my parents home and all the animals they have and how my dad rides horses. Also about how he ropes "cows". (I was just laughing in my head when Ms. Marcy said that because I could just see in the kids minds at that very moment..."He ropes black & white cows?" :) ). So anyways I am striving to see all the joys in my everyday life and since I have been looking I am amazed at what I find. Even if it is just my girls standing at the oven door wondering when the treat will be done. Find the joys in your everyday life and you will be surprised what you find. Have a happy day!
