Today I am sitting at the computer reading all of the many blogs that I follow and they all seem to have a similar theme, "Inspiration". First off I want to thank those who wrote such inspiring words on their blog to share with me and everyone else who reads their blog. I just want to keep record of a few things I have felt today and recently.
1. Live each day as if it could be your last
You never know when something may happen to you or your loved ones. If you ever get that random thought to call someone you love just to say hi, take that opportunity. You may never know why you received that feeling but please know it most likely was not without reason. I believe there is a God above who sees the greater picture and he may see that what that loved one needs is a hello call from you.
2. Prioritize
Know that it is important to chose each day what REALLY needs to be done. I know I should be picking up the house or doing the dishes or mopping my floors but I also know it is more important that I sit and read some books with my girls and read from the Friend magazine with them so we can talk about how to be more like Jesus. I know it is more important for me to teach my girls about my love for their daddy than having the clean clothes folded as soon as they come out of the dryer. I am learning that maybe I will be up a little later today because I chose to do those things with my kids or my husband but to me it is a price worth paying.
3. Taking time to fill my bucket
I have learned that for me to be a better mom I have to take time for me too. I used to feel it was sort of selfish but I have learned differently now. I know that if I don't take just a few minutes for myself each day that I will be a little less patient mother with my girls or even myself or I am more negative throughout the day. I find that even if it is only for 10 minutes to read a story from the Ensign or just laying on my bed thinking about how much I love my family that I will be a better mom for the rest of the day.
4. I AM RESPONSIBLE for MY choices
God has given us our free agency to choose. That means we have to chose ALL things for ourselves. What I mean by that is I have to chose what I am going to be in this life. How I make choices now will reflect who I am later. Now is it my choice if someone hits my car in the parking lot? No, but it is my choice how I will respond to the action. I am going to strive each day to take more responsibility for my choices. No one else can make your choices for you because in the end it is your attitude that will make the difference. I learned this important message of taking responsibility by listening to a motivational speaker. He also said the opposite of responsiblity is excuses. He said to increase your value and ability every day. "If it's to be it's up to ME!"
I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who helps me grow every day. I am especially grateful for a Savior who paid the price for me and all of my errors. Also for all of my sorrows and weakness. In the Book of Mormon in Moroni 12:27 it says "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."
It is ok to have those weaknesses but it is learning to be humble to make those weak things strong things strong that is important. God bless you mom's and every person who wants to be better.

Isn't she beautiful? :)
That is right this is my VERY beautiful and talented sister Tara. She is the oldest of the 4 girls in
my family. She might be the oldest but she does not look like it. She actually get's mistaken for my baby sister Erin's twin all the time. Tara is a talented mom of 4 wonderful children. Her husband is a hard working firefighter and he is also doing some advanced schooling. So because Aaron is so busy with work and school that leaves Tara to do a lot of the running around with all 4 children. She is super mom though so she can do it. She runs back and forth to school, then takes the kids to their next activity. Any mom who has kids understands how the activities can add up even with just one child so could you imagine 4. Logan & Colton do sports and scouts and Gracie does a few dance classes. While she is driving them here and there she is carrying around the beautiful Ava. She is so cute :) All the kids are very good looking. Good luck with that Tara when they are teenagers :). Tara also volunteer teaches aerobics 2 days a week and is very much in to exercise and health. She just had Ava a little over 3 months ago and she looks AMAZING! She also does a lot of canning and helping the 3 oldest kids with their homework EVER NIGHT! I think doing homework with 3 kids is an exercise in and of itself. She is very involved in her kids school and helping them to learn the things they need to know to succeed in life. Tara is such a success and I don't even think she knows how much good she does for oth
ers just by being a good example. She is very involved in church and teaches in Relief Society every few weeks. I have attended a few times when she has taught and I am always impressed with how she teaches and how well she presents the message. She has such a strong testimony of God and His Son Jesus Christ which I am sure is what helps her to keep going each day. Having that testimony helps her to be the best mom she can be. I love my sister Tara very much and I want her to know that! You are beautiful Tara from the inside and the outside!! I love you!!!!!

Honoring the Wonderful Steve!!!!
This post is to honor the AMAZING Steve! First off I just want you to know the song playing is to help you feel the mood while you read this amazing blog about Steve. Enjoy the music! :) Steve just celebrated his 26th birthday. I know you are all thinking "What? That can't be he looks great for his age." He is a very successful man. He is the kind of person who when he sets his mind to something he does it . He is uplifting to all the people he comes in contact with everyday. Steve has done so many things for such a "young guy" :) , he owned his own home before he was married to the beautiful Erin. Steve and Erin dated for a quite a while before getting married (just a note when I say a while that is by LDS standard ha, ha). They fit each other perfectly. He adores his wife and takes care of her in ways that most men can not. He is very accomplished in all he does. He has completed all the testing to become a CPA, which for anyone who does not know it is EXTREMELY difficult. He studied so diligently and he is determined to be a success. I am here to tell you now he IS definitely a success! Steve is a nut about computers and he is really good at fixing all our family computer problems without complaint. With our family that is a lot of computer problems too. I thinkErin gets annoyed that Steve has to fix all the computer problems before he gets annoyed :). Steve loves to listen to motivational speaking. In my opinion Steve could be a motivational speaker himself. He always emails the family uplifting quotes and stories just to make our days better. What a great guy, striving to make other's happier each day. He strives to see the positive in every situation. He is always willing to help others even if it is just to make them smile. He is a devoted husband, son, brother and friend! Thank you Steve for being the WONDERFUL person that you. Thank you for making all of us better people because we know you. I pray that more people will have the blessing of having you in their lives because I already know you have enriched mine and so many others. Happy Birthday Steve!! You are the man!!!

Go Bears!!!!

Go Bears! This is what Billy teaches the girls at a VERY young age as you can see. One of the first few phrases Mattie Moo said was Go Bears! and Go Ducks! (for the Univ. of Oregon). So here are the girls supporting their daddy :) The funny thing is I actually enjoy football and understand it for the most part after almost 5 years of marriage to a serious football fan! I always laugh and tell Billy that him and my Grandpa Weathersby would have gotten along great! Also my dad is pretty happy to have a buddy to watch football with. One of the funniest times in my laugh was when I was watching football with Billy and my dad and I made a interesting football comment about the play of choice or something like that. My dad looked at me like who are you and where is MY daughter! :) Billy laughed so hard and said that is MY WIFE!! Good times and great oldies!

Mattie made a sailboat!!!

Here is Mattie and her preschool class. They had made sail boats made of sponges and straws and then let them float in the pool. Mattie had so much fun and told me about it the rest of the day. She is really enjoying preschool and can't wait until Tuesday to go again. If she had her way it would be at least 5 days a week! :) Ms. Marcy told me Mattie is doing really good in class and is learning . She loves to learn new things and she has a memory like her daddy thank goodness!

Are you afraid??????????
This was the question asked to me today by a patient while I was working at my dad's chiropractic office. She was asking this of me today because it is 9/11 the 7 year anniversary of the attack on our nation. I thought it was an interesting question. I knew the answer right away though, NO I am not afraid. I am able to stand today and say that I am proud to be an american citizen. I know that some horrible choices were made that day and that horrible choices continue to be made but I also know that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and my family. I know that he see's the greater picture for me. I'm not saying it is always easy but I know that all those people who lost their lives that day will have the opportunity to be with their families for eternity. I know that the most important thing for me right now is to be the person who shares this great news to people I come in contact with. I am so grateful to those men and women who fight for our freedom everyday. Their aren't strong enough words to tell them how grateful I am for their dedication to our countries freedom, my families freedom, my freedom. Especially my freedom to worship how, where and what I may. I love America and the freedom I have because I am an American!! As the famous song says "I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free and I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to ME and I gladly stand up next you and defend still today. Cause their ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the USA!"
